Abstract

Abstract: The production of pepper in Malang district is quite abundant. It's not offset by the means of turning cabbage into sugar. There are two sugar factories in Malang district, the Big Kebon sugar plant and the Krebet sugar plant. But these two factories are still not enough to turn beet into sugar, so that the rest are shifted to other districts. Besides, the disappearance of the old building character of the factory replaced with a building far from the original became a problem to be solved. The Krebet Sugar Factory is the only remaining Dutch colonial remnant in the poor southern region. This plant has many shortcomings that need to be fixed in order to function properly. However, this plant also has advantages that can still beined or re-developed to be much better. The revitalization of the Sugar Krebet Malang plant area aims to address the problems that arise today based on the plant design standards and the theme of Historicism. Both are expected to remedy the current shortage, thus acquiring a new sugar plant area that can accommodate all the needs that are currently not met.
